Two Worland Swimmers Went To Zones In California
Written by Chance Bond on July 29, 2022
Traeten Quigley and Gage Stanek competed in Fresno, CA. and represented Worland in the Wyoming State Senior Zones team.
Traeten, a graduated Senior, and Gage Stanek, an incoming Senior at Worland High School, are both members of the Worland Waterjets USA swim team as well as the Worland Boys Swimming & Diving team.
Swimmers are invited to attend the Western Zones Senior Zones swim meet based on swim times during the year.
Both Traeten and Gage qualified to swim in several events at this meet.
Quigley says, “It’s a very large meet with, sometimes, 200 swimmers in each event. The largest meet we’ve attended so far might have 40 swimmers in the events.”
Quigley and Stanek went along with 35 other swimmers to make up the Wyoming team.
Stanek says, “We wanted to thank the Worland Waterjets team and coaches for all the years we’ve swam with them. Swimming is a great skill to have, and we wouldn’t be where we’re at without those foundation years swimming with the team. I’m excited to see what this experience will do for my Senior year with the High School swim team”
Congratulations to Traeton and Gage.
