WY-CO Law Enforcement Alliance During Border War

It may have been the Border War – but that didn’t stop law enforcement from forming alliances against drunk driving.
For the 5th straight year, several law enforcement agencies from Wyoming and Colorado border communities joined forces for a multi-state impaired driving enforcement operation on November 22nd during the 111th University of Wyoming – Colorado State football game.
The results speak for themselves – 240 traffic stops, 6 arrest for impaired driving, and another 6 arrests for controlled substances. Wyoming law enforcement issues an additional 30 citations for speeding and arrested 4 more people for unspecified violations.
There were no fatality crashes during the 14-hour operation. This takes on special importance in Wyoming this year given the increase in road fatalities – 142 this year alone.
