Wyoming High School Softball To Debut In Worland

Girls High School Softball will begin it’s Inaugural season for Worland on Friday at 3pm from Newell Sargent Park. The Lady Warriors will face the Cody Fillies.
The Girls that have played softball before play for a Club team in Worland. The Worland Wildfire. The battery of Senior Pitcher Brooklynn Hellyer and Senior Catcher Carmyn Buckman come from that program.
Kylie Fronk, who is a Senior, is extremely excited. “I’m so happy that I get to play for my High School, and I get to do it my Senior year.” Kylie will start Third base for the Lady Warriors.
The other corner ,at First base, will be Kylie Yates. The Middle of the infield will be Senior Second base Vivian Hawkins. The lone Freshman starter will hold down Shortstop Rihan Rosario.
The Outfield from Right to Left will be Sophomore Sophia Scheuerman, Sophomore Brooke Wright and Junior Mallory Brown.
The Lady Warriors will first play Cody, who also has a Club team. The Cody Pride.
Wyoming High School Softball will be an All Class sport. The West Conference will be Worland, Cody, Green River, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, and Rock Springs.
The East Conference is Campbell County, Thunder Basin, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, and Wheatland.
Asking Brooklynn Hellyer about Worland being a team with all the larger Wyoming cities she would say. “Yeah, we’re the littles town, but I know most of the girls from Casper and Gillette and the other towns.”
Worland will be on Spring Break next week and will resume the season April 9th and 10th. Both games will be in Worland as the girls will face Rock Springs, then Green River.
The week after the girls travel to Casper and play Natrona County Friday the 16th and Kelly Walsh the 17th. The Lady Warriors will then rotate back around and play those five teams again.
